You
may call it handwriting, but the mind is really in control. If you analyze a person's
writing you are reading their mind, believe it or not! Hence the term "mindwriting."
And it is very scientific. Scientists call it graphology = ". . . the art or science
of deducing character, disposition, or aptitudes from handwriting." (Webster).
It works!
What
are your best and worst characteristics? Are you a "jerk magnet?" Do
you want to know more about yourself and how you can improve your chances of success,
romance, and happiness? Handwriting analysis can help and Dennis would be happy
to give you an in-depth printed report on exactly who you are and why you do what
you do.
For
the best handwriting sample for analysis, Follow these suggestions
1.
Use a sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 unlined paper and place a few sheets of blank paper
underneath to give you a nice smooth surface to write on.
2.
Use the writing instrument of your choice, but not a pencil.
3.
The best sample is at least one page long.
4.
Do not copy the text and do not write lyrics to a song or poetry. It is best to
be spontaneous and as natural and relaxed as possible.
5.
Answer at least three of the following questions in your natural handwriting on
a separate sheet of paper and sign your name as you normally do.
A.
What do you consider the characteristics of a successful person?
B.
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
C.
What does "a good friend" mean to you?
D.
What does happiness mean to you?
E.
What quality do you appreciate most in a person?
F.
What trait do you dislike most in others?
G.
What do you believe are your three best qualities or characteristics?
What is "Mindwriting"
?
Does it make a difference if I am left
or right handed?
What about SEX?
The hand is merely the vehicle which the mind
uses to express itself, consciously and/or subconsciously, so a better description
of the process of handwriting would be to call it "mindwriting." I use the two
terms interchangeably throughout these pages.
Some
people, through unfortunate accidents or birth defects, are forced to hold a pen
with their foot or in their mouth, and the resultant "mindwriting" continues to
be reflective of the individual's unique personality exactly as if they held the
instrument in their right (or left) hand.
Left
or right-handedness cannot be determined from analyzing your mindwriting. Neither
can your sex (or sexual orientation) or age be determined by this analysis. That's
why we ask you to tell us whether you are male or female and how old you are.
But we can tell if you are a romantic, and whether
you are very interested in sex, or could care less about the whole subject!
Can
I change my personality by changing my writing?
This
is referred to as Graphotherapy
and can be used as a tool for expanding your knowledge of yourself, for self improvement,
and self understanding.
WARNING: It is not a good idea to deliberately try to change the slant or direction
of the writing, as this has to do with the basic inherited emotional structure
a person is born with - the nucleus of the personality, i.e. introvert/ extrovert,
logical/ emotional, social/ antisocial. The slant to the right or left, forward
or back, or lack of inclination (perpendicular to the baseline) will sometimes
change over the course of a person's life due to a variety of circumstances, but
do not try to force this change, especially in children.
YES,
if a person truly desires to acquire new or more positive personality traits and
diligently follows a program of disciplined practice sessions for about 30 minutes
each day for 30 consecutive days, changes in writing habits/styles can and will
most likely occur, and the individual will also tend to acquire the character
traits associated with the new strokes.
BUTcare must be taken to watch the overall penmanship for signs of change which
may indicate that other traits are being affected by the attempt to change the
personality.
The subconscious does not
appear to like being "disturbed" and may seem at first like it wants to resist
your efforts as it tries to ward off your conscious reprogramming of its familiar
(albeit negative) patterns.
What
about numbers?
Can
I improve my mathematical ability using these techniques?
The
way you form your numbers can determine your mathematical productivity. In other
words, if you want to improve your relationship with numbers, mathematics, (money?)
and become better at "ciphering," the same principles that apply to your script
will work with numbers.
Try writing
your numbers with a vertical positioning, up and down, not slanted in either direction.
And make the numbers smaller than your normal writing. These two disciplines will
increase your logical thinking abilities and improve your concentration and accuracy.
What does it mean if I print my letters instead
of writing in script?
Are there any good books on learning to do
handwriting analysis?
Printing
may indicate artistic or aesthetic tendencies or abilities and/or an intuitive
thinking style, and could also mean that the "printer" wants his ideas to be clearly
understood by the reader. But many factors enter into the final conclusions the
analyst will make. Just as in all cases of handwriting analysis, many different
indications and characteristics have to be taken into consideration to make a
determination of character or personality. How large is the writing? How neat?
What do the margins say about the writer? What about the slant?
It
is possible to learn graphology, and obtain the keys to unlocking the "secrets"
of mindwriting, through practice, study and hard work. Like I always say, anyone
can walk on water, if she knows where the rocks are. (Life is an illusion, after
all.)
My
signature looks very different from my handwriting. Why is that?
Very briefly, your signature shows how
you want the world to perceive you, and if it looks decidedly different from your
overall handwriting, then you probably are not one of those people one would describe
as "what you see is what you get." In fact, just the opposite is likely to be
true. Your public persona is one thing, and your private self is quite another.
Or perhaps how you perceive yourself is
different than how you want to be perceived by others?
What
are the benefits of using hand/mindwriting analysis versus other forms of "divination"?
Many people associate handwriting analysis
with fortune telling, palmistry, the runes, tarot cards, astrology, psychics and
the crystal ball. Why is that? Because the astoundingly accurate personality profiles
one can produce with the process does seem like "magic" to anyone who is not familiar
with the scientific, systematic, learnable, and teachable methods used by graphologists
today.
