The Cross sits on a hill high above Camp Williams in Azusa Canyon, California, and can be seen from a long distance away. The cross is the sign for the 12th Planet. This
is the second cross erected on this spot. The original was replaced several years
ago because of deterioration. I am looking for more history on this icon, and will post as I find out more. Penny

"Los Angeles County firefighters from Station 12 in Altadena watch for fire activity Thursday near Follows Camp (actually near Camp Williams) above East Fork Road in the Angeles National Forest. The cross the firefighters surround was erected in memory of Ralph M. Follows, who founded Follows camp in 1891." The Williams Fire: 09/22/02 Both Camp Williams and Follows Camp were saved by the firefighters efforts. No structures were lost in either camp. |

 Mike is standing at the base of the cross to give you an idea of how tall it is. He is about 6 foot tall, and he was one of the people who helped raise it to its present position several years ago by hoisting it up the side of a hill. |
